Buckinghamshire Healthy Minds
Floor 2, Prospect House
We’re a job retention service embedded and working alongside Healthy Minds, Bucks IAPT (offering cognitive behavioural therapy).
We’re a team of employment advisors offering support to individuals to stay in work.
How we help
We support individuals to establish a back to work plan. This action plan identifies what the person wants to happen, what do they need to know, what support they need and how changes can be made.
We offer vocational advice and guidance to help individuals develop their career and provide advice and support on mental health problems and how to access appropriate services.
We offer appointments face to face in the High Wycombe area and also support via telephone and email. Out of hours appointments are offered to individuals currently in work.
Who we can help
Our service is open to individuals aged over 18, who are registered with a GP in Buckinghamshire and who have a common mental health problem e.g. stress, anxiety, depression. To access our service, individuals need to have been assessed by the IAPT service and identified as needing employment support.
Referrals to Healthy Minds can come through GPs, employers, Job Centre Plus or as a self referral.
At the heart of everything we do lies:
- Hope: the belief that recovery is possible for every individual
- Respect: valuing differences and all contributions
- Enabling: giving people encouragement and support to achieve their goals
- Inclusion: the belief that everyone has a right to participate fully in society.
